Welcome!

Thank you, Chapel Hill, for the honor of serving you on the Town Council from 2003 to 2017. The Council’s work is based on generations of enlightened leadership in planning for a healthy and sustainable future. Because of this strong tradition, Chapel Hill is a special place.

I’m grateful for the energy and resourcefulness of Chapel Hill residents. Together we’ve made progress in affordable housing, homeless support, neighborhood and historic preservation, and environmental preservation and green space, and the inclusion of the cultural arts as a source of connection and empowerment, while working to sustain the social and economic vitality of the entire community.

I’m proud to have been a part of this work for three terms. Congratulations to the members of the 2017-19 Town Council, and all best wishes as you bring fresh ideas to address new challenges.
